Free Superbowl Picks for Ravens VS Patriots

The two favored teams when it comes to online betting to win the AFC all season is now vying for the championship this Sunday. The patriots will host Baltimore with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line. The New England’s future Hall of Fame quarterback has been extraordinary as of late and he’ll do enough ot outduel his Baltimore counterpart.

Free Superbowl Picks: New England Patriots -7.5

When: Sunday, January 22nd, 3:00 PM ET

Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough

Why the Baltimore’s a Good Bet (13-4 SU, 8-8-1 ATS)

The Ravens may have been a bit lucky to move on to the next round as they needed their defense to carry them to a 20-13 win at home over Houston, forcing four turnovers along the way. Safety Ed Reed managed to have six tackles, a pick and four passes defensed, and he had to be carried off at the end of the game because he sold his body out to knock down the Texans’ final heave to the end zone.

LaDarius Webb had a pair of picks for the Ravens, who allowed Arian Foster to run for 132 yards and Andre Johnson had 111 receiving yards, but Baltimore made stops when they had to. The offense was just bad and Joe Flacco was 14-of-27 for 176 yards, although he did throw two touchdown passes. The line couldn’t open any holes for the running game (87 yards on 31 attempts), and they couldn’t protect Flacco, who was sacked five times and pressured many more. The offense is just bad and it almost cost them this game.

For injuries, Reed’s Knee MRI returned with a negative remark so you can expect the future Hall of Famer to be in the lineup and the Ravens will need him at the back of the defense, playing center field against the vaunted Patriots offense. However, it wouldn’t matter how well the defense perform because if Flacco and the offense don’t improve, they might as well just stay at home. Getting Ray Rice going is essential to keep the opposition off-balance, but New England’s secondary isn’t that good, so they can be attacked.

Why the New England Patriots should be Wagered On (14-3 SU, 10-6-1 ATS)

The Patriots guaranteed that by the end of the first half there would be no NFL betting upsets as they rolled to a 35-10 halftime lead and cruised to a 45-10 romp of Denver at home. Tom Brady was 26-0f-34 for 363 yards and a pick, and his six touchdown passes tied an NFL record. Three of them went to tight end Rob Gronkowski, which was also a record, and Brady set a new mark with five touchdowns in the first half. New England also threw a wrinkle into their offense by putting tight end Aaron Hernandez in the backfield and he responded with 61 yards on five carries. Hernandez ran occasionally when he was at Florida (where he was a teammate of Denver quarterback Tim Tebow), and it just shows the versatility of this high-powered unit. The defense gave up 144 yards on the ground, but they did a better job of controlling Denver’s read-option offense than their first meeting and once they got out to a big lead, the Broncos had to throw it and that played into New England’s hands.

Hernandez had a possible head injury or concussion but the tests came back negative and he was able to pass early tests so you can see him in the lineup this week. The Patriots have now won nine in a row outright and only once have they scored less than 30 points (27 in a Week 16 come-from-behind win over Miami). And for all of the yards that the Patriots give up, they’re 15th in the league in points allowed. The patchwork secondary has come together in recent weeks and they can also stop the run, thanks to stoppers like Vince Wilfork on the line and Jerod Mayo at linebacker. Combine all of that with Brady’s solid focus and the Patriots are going to be hard to beat, especially at home.

How Will It Turn Out?

NFL betting odds favored the Patriots by 7.5 points at home, where they are 4-1 SU and 3-1 ATS in their last five meetings with the Ravens, with three games falling under the posted total. However, the only loss came in the playoffs two years ago, when the Ravens stomped the Patriots 33-14 at “The Razor” and they have enough veteran players that the crowd should be a major factor.

This could really go down to the play of the quarterbacks. Flacco will certainly need to play better on Sunday than he did back against with the Texans because we all know that the Patriots will put up points. New England needs to protect Brady from the Baltimore pass rush.

2012 Superbowl predictions: Will Brady Rise Again with Another Title?

In less than 2weeks, we will have the Superbowl again! One of the greatest and most exciting sports event around the globe. What team are you cheerin for? Here are some of our superbowl predictions that can help you

Tom Brady, New England Patriots QB, has great chances to become the greatest quarterback in the history of the NFL if he wins the SuperBowl this season that is.

Another title would give Brady four for his career, which will definitely be a very remarkable feat in the era of free agency.

Joe Montana is the legend of San Francisco 4934s and is often thought of as the best quarterback since he has four SuperBowl titles and Clutch Play in many important games, but he did that in an era when it was easier to keep teams together.

Not to discredit Montana's accomplishments, but Brady has been successful with less talent and several different receiving corps and running backs.

Tom Brady has managed to make receivers like David Givens and Troy Brown look like amazing players, and he even got good production out of Reche Caldwell. Brady ha salso never had an all-pro running back play alongside him for more than one season.

Four Championships, two NFl MVPs ad multiple SuperBowl MVPs would give Brady the edge over the 49ers legend.

A title for Brady this season could easily be the most amazing and impressive of his career. Wes Walker may be a great receiver but he is not a deep threat that scares defenses like Randy Moss. If teams perform their defensive game plan well, Welker can be stopped.

With Chad Ochocinco and Deion Branch giving the Patriots very little this season, Brady has had to rely on two young tight ends to carry the passing offense in the red zone.

Setting the record for most touchdowns in a single season by a tight end is Rob Gronkowski with 17 and Aaron Hernandez had a fine season as well.

To have a remarkable season despite having inexperienced and under-performing players on offense (for the most part) is truly amazing for Brady.

The fact that the Patriots defense was terrible this season put even more pressure on Brady to perform well. He knew that the defense was bad, so he had to score at least 30 points in most games to win.

Great thing with Brady is that he can win in any sort of style of offense and also under any circumstances. Having to adjust to playing with so many different receivers in his career yet still being a top quarterback, is a tremendous achievement.

Are you betting on this Superbowl? We are definitely sure that these superbowl predictions will help you decide on what team to bet to. Good Luck.

Don’t Know How to Bet on the Superbowl Online?

We have a lot of gambling stories and we would love to explain all about the different bets you can make on the Superbowl online. You don’t have to travel all the way to Vegas in order to gamble since there’s Sportsbook.com where you can make bets on your favorite football team without leaving your house for Superbowl Sunday.

Let us go through the Superbowl betting types:

Straight / Side Bet

This is one of the common forms of betting in the Superbowl and in any regular football game where you pick which team will win the game or the Superbowl.

You also need to take note of the moneyline in order to know how much you want to wager. If the line on the team you want to bet on is -150 then you would have to bet that amount of $150 in order to win $100. In the case that the line on the team you want to bet on is +150 then you would have to bet only $100 in order to win that amount of $150.

Point Spread or Totals

This is the most popular method of betting on the Super Bowl but how does it work?

Let’s say that the Denver Broncos were visiting the New England Patriots and the Patriots was established as a six-point favorite at game time, which can be found commonly written as Detroit -6. Denver Broncos would be the underdog and displayed as Denver +6. If you wager on the favorite they have to win by more than 6 points to win your bet. Take note that the Patriots are favored by 6 points so subtract 6 points from their final score on a spread bet. If the Broncos were to win 27-20, Broncos bettors would win their wager. If the Patriots were to win the game by any score and you picked the Patriots, you win not including the extra 6 points. If the Broncos were to win, 20-14, it would a push and you get your wager back.

Propositions

The Superbowl has a lot of proposition bets which can get ridiculous at times from which team to get a foul first or which team to gen injured. It is not necessary that you should bet on these sort of bets nor is it advisable. A smart bettor would avoid it but if you just want to bet on who gets to throw the ball first for the hell of it then be the guest.

Betting on the Superbowl 2012

It’s just a few more weeks and the Superbowl will be kickstarting the action. For those people who wish to bet on Superbowl, you need to know what sort of bets you want to make. A lot of fans are crazy when it comes to watching the game and betting on their favorite teams is just another way of adding the thrills and adrenaline rushes.

First off, if you’re an avid fan who knows nothing about betting on football then we have lists of betting types that can help you bet on Superbowl.

Straight Wagers

The team that was wagered on must win by the point spread given at the time of the wager. For straight wagers, the odds are #1.10 to win $1.00 unless otherwise indicated. “No Action” is for games that ended up as ties and money is re-deposited back into your account. Things can get unpredictable and events may change so expect that the point spread may fluctuate at any time.

Let’s say a player wagered on the Broncos -7 $110 to beat the Giants +7

The player only wins if the Broncos win by more than 7 points, getting $100 as reward. To total payout would be $210 including the wager amount. In the case that the Broncos only win by 7 points then it’s a “No Action” and the wager is returned. The player loses if the Broncos wins by less than 7 points.

Totals Betting

This is the combined score of both teams for games wagered on, all totals lay $1.10 to win $1.00 unless it is otherwise indicated.

Ex:

The bettor lays $220 on the OVER in the Patriots/Giants game. The total for the game is 45. If both teams’ combined score is more than 45 then the player wins $200. In the case that the combined score is equal to 45 then the game is considered as “No Action” and the wager is returned. If the combined score is less than 45 then the wager is lost.

Moneyline Wagers

The team you placed a bet on must win the game. This is a simple betting type and the amount you lay depends and may vary for each game. The money line is that is read to at the moment of your wager is the moneyline you keep regardless of any movement.

Halftime

The wager is placed on the odds posted for the second half of a game only. All wagers must go the full second half for action. All halftime wagers are calculated the same as a straight wager unless otherwise indicated. There are no teaser plays or buying of points on halftimes. First half lines are also available.

Parlays

In this type you can wager of up to 2 or more teams, up to 5 teams or propositions in no particular order. All teams wagered on in a parlay must win. If there is a tie, it reverts down to the next lowest number for payoff.

Teasers

This is similar to parlay betting except that here, the point spread is adjusted to your favor. This is a bet with a selection of more teams and the number of the teams selected and the number of points selected determines the payout odds. A “Tie” or “No Action” and a “Win” on a two team teaser shall constitute a “No Action” wager.

A “Tie” or a “No Action” and a “Loss” on a two team shall constitute a “Losing g” wager. Ties on a three or more team teaser shall revert to the next lowest gambling bracket. A tie on a three team becomes a two team teaser for example.

Teaser Payoffs/Odds for Football
Football- points 6 6.5 7

2 teams 10/11 10/12 10/13
3 teams 16/10 14/10 12/10
4 teams 25/10 20/10 18/10
5 teams 40/10 35/10 30/10
6 teams 60/10 50/10 40/10
7 teams 90/10 80/10 70/10
8 teams 140/10 120/10 100/10

3 Team 10 point Football - 10/12
* All ties lose in a 3 team 10 point football teaser

Futures and Propositions

Future wagers depend on the outcome of events that happen each year and all wagers here are final. There will be no payouts until the conclusion of the specified season. Proposition plays are wagers based on the outcome of events that occur annually. Odds change daily and all wagers are considered action at the odds quoted at the time of the wager.

Reverse Wagers

Reverses revert to individual If Bets. You can include up to 8 teams in a Reverse bet. The payoffs vary depending on the number of teams wagered on. A 2-Team Reverse pays 4/1, a 3-Team Reverse pays 12/1 considering that the wager is $100. Standard Reverse bets are Double Action; therefore in the event of a time the bet is still active.

These bets are applicable to any football game and not only for the superbowl. Should you wish to make a bet on the upcoming big event, you already know different types of wagers to choose from.

2012 Free Superbowl Picks: Lucky Eight

Eight teams remain to battle it out to the Superbowl, so who will arrive most victorious of all? Let’s check and find out.

Green Bay Packers

Considered as the favorite to Superbowl with odds of 2 to 1 in certain sportsbooks sites online, there is a lot of sentiment that the Green Bay Packers could be in for a shock in the post season. The road to winning the Superbowl is definitely littered with some amazing teams such as the team that ended its chances of winning the Super Bowl in 2008 – the Giants.

QB Aaron Rodgers will have had 20 straight days without game action when he steps on the field this weekend and that could be problematic. There could be no doubt that this could be the best team in football but will it show? We all know that the Super Bowl can be quite unpredictable and the best team doesn’t always win the Super Bowl but could be the free Superbowl picks to really nail it.

New England Patriots

Odds to win 2.85 to 1 at certain sportsbook sites.

The gang of QB Tom Brady were favored greatly to have to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, a team that beat them and beat them up the first go around this year, but thanks to some Tebow Magic, the Pats now get the significantly easier Broncos, whom they mauled on the road just a weeks ago. It seems like an easy walk to the AFC Championship Game from here, but is this team really tough in the post season?

New Orleans Saints

Each time we see more of QV Drew Brees throw the football, the more that we realize that the Saints have great chances at winning the whole shebang. Odds at certain sites gave 3.85 to 1, it’s not bad. They are definitely going to be rooting for the Giants this week against the Packers to try to get the NFC Championship Game back in the Bayou, but in all likelihood, Brees and the gang know that they still need to get past Lambeau Field, where their season began with a loss this year to get to the Super Bowl. The game this week against San Fran is being overlooked by most though, so don’t be shocked if the boys from New Orleans are going to get sent packing this weekend.

Baltimore Ravens

It has been a long time since QB Joe Flacco and company played a home game in the playoffs. The odds by sportsbook sites gives 7 to 1 to these dudes. Now they have a home game against a team that has only won its first playoff game last week. The Texans has no chance whatsoever when these two teams meet again on Sunday with QB TJ Yates calling the shots instead. Baltimore is a scary, scary choice out of the AFC playoffs at this point.

San Francisco 49ers

Not the most respected team this year, they’re given 15 to 1 odds at certain sportsbook online. Head Coach Jim Harbaugh did an amazing job with this team year. The team run the ball, outstanding defense, they don’t beat themselves and they play hard in the trenches. But the question remains if they are going to be a better team against the Saints. The answer is mostly likely a “No” but they are playing at home where they have defeated some great teams this season. Don’t overlook this 7-1 SU and 7-0-1 ATS mark that San Francisco put up at Candlestick Park this year.

New York Giants

17 to 1 odds for the Giants, at sportsbook online. The Giants were amazing with defeating the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, but do they really have a chance of beating the Packers on their home field? We obviously have seen it before in the most improbable of circumstances when this team won the Super Bowl in 2008, but New York just doesn’t feel like it has the ability to string another game together like the one that it just played, perhaps it will take that and a whole lot more in order to move on to the NFC Championship Game next week.

Houston Texans

Could be up in the heavens celebrating over the fact that they are here and have managed to get their very first post season game as a win but after the 31-10 romp of the Cincinnati Bengals last week, it was a very businesslike atmosphere. Their head coach Gary Kubiak has his team believe that it can win the whole thing. A chance is all that the Texans want this weekend in Baltimore and sad to say but that is exactly what they will get.

Denver Broncos

They have an indescribable 45 to 1 odds at online sportsbook on average. This team has QB Tim Tebow complete 10-of-21 passing against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the 10th completion went for 80 yards and the game winning TD in overtime. On that battle against Pittsburgh, the Broncos left oodles of points on the board. They can’t really run the ball effectively, at least 6 out of 7 of Tebow’s throws were total ducks, including some of the completed ones. At times, their defense can’t even stop a quarterback with one healthy leg and with no offensive line in front of him. Yet in the end, that has been Denver in a nut shell all season long. The team was perhaps lucky to win games.

Dealing With Intangible Assets in Hockey Betting

There are lots of things that one should understand before diving into hockey betting. That is, if you want to win most of the time. The intangibles that we are talking about here are about the assets and pitfalls of each team. Understanding these things will definitely give you an edge when it comes to handicapping games in hockey betting.

This is where years of nightly dedication to following the sport are irreplaceable assets. The intangibles in hockey is quite numerous than any other sports and can be summed up in two words – TEAM CHEMISTRY.

To further elaborate on what it means – the NHL is beyond fast and furious. This is the only major sport where the players in a team can be changed while on the fly, where one flick of the finger can changed the entire momentum of a game, where 59 minutes of desperately hard work can go down the drain with a careless pass. Taking care of a screw up is very unlike other sports where you can regain your dignity. Here, if you mess up, the only thing you can do is pray your team won’t kill you and eat you.

You just have to pray as well that a teammate may save your butt. You also can’t really rely on the goalie since he won’t come out unless he’s hurt or your game is getting killed in the game. In hockey, every defenseman on the ice has to be to skate like a forward and every forward better be willing to throw himself in front of a slapshot. This is a team sport like none other. That means that leadership, sacrifice, effort and commitment have to come from every player who ties up his skates or that team has a problem.

Problems in teams can happen so often and team players bickering and having a bit of rivalry can really affect their performance. Sometimes a team may have a problem with a new coach and may not follow the coach’s orders. Factors like these are important if you are betting on a team.

Reading and researching about these nitty-gritty things is additional information that should give you an edge when it comes to hockey betting picks. Betting on a team that has serious problems getting along despite being ranked one of the best is still a risky bet.

Hockey betting gives a lot of opportunities for bets so if you could spare a game for another because you are not well prepared or your heart’s not in it then do so.

Dashing Tips on Horse Betting

The sport of Kings doesn’t have to be so intimidating for normal people who just want to bet.Horse betting is perhaps the most rewarding and most exciting betting games available. Having the ability to predict who will come in first place is not by luck alone. There are several ways on how to make a good bet on who will turn out the Champion of the race and even give you rewards in the end.

All it takes is one skillful research on the things you are involving yourself with.

Today, we have tips that you can take with you when you decide on to go to a horse betting site.

Tip 1: Horses to Avoid

Although it’s quite tempting to vote on a horse that has moved up a class, this horse should best be avoided because he is probably way out of his new league. The horse still needs to train for a while in order to get comfortable in his league and win the race, rookies don’t always get it.

You should also avoid horses that are over-hyped since people must have spent money in order to promote such a horse and often they don’t really rely on real facts.

Tip 2: Horse Credentials

Take note of horses who have won races before and not just won in the top three but won first place several times. This is a good record and you should keep an eye on these babies once you see them. Horse betting is all about the credentials and awards to back them up.

These are good bets and they are not just for the “sure thing”. It’s quite rare that you could see such a beautiful horse that have won multiple races at first place but once you’ve seen one, stick to it.

Tip 3: The track

Horses that start fast will always do well in a slow and heavy track. These are the horses who will have a better chance of winning.

Tip 4: Handpick the Race You Want to Bet On

It is a wise man’s habit to pick a race that he wants to bet on and a fool’s habit to bet on every race he sees. Discipline and control is a habit you should learn and more importantly, always go for a race where you can have enough time for research and where you can also put your logical skills in.

Boxing betting tips to remember

You are a smart bettor if you are fan of boxing betting. Yes! A smart bettor knows how to play it. However, it is still a good idea to search, consider and learn some tips prior getting involved in the game in order to be successful. Here are some few boxing betting ideas that could help you win.

Boxing betting tips 1: Do extra research. Always do it as your homework. This is simple yet a very important task which applies actually not only to boxing betting but to any sports betting. Doing research and homework are necessary prior placing your money in someone’s hand. It is essential that you know who the two fighters are, their life stories and how they are as individuals. Personal issues or career issues sometimes affect the way a fighter play, so take consideration of their individual stories. Know how well they do during their training performance. Research about the injuries they might be suffering or any health related concern that may affect their game. It is also important that you know the management and their coaches behind them to. Lastly, check how well motivated a fighter is. The underdog fighter may win the game if he is motivated enough and if he has gone through a lot of great training and coaching. So when you do your research right, you can bet on the underdogs and they can win, and that just means a bigger pay out for you!

Boxing betting tips 2: Skipping a bet is really not a bad idea most especially if you are having a hard time deciding who will be the winning fighter. Choose bets that you know you have the odds of betting right. Through the research that you make, you can predict more the outcome of the game.

Boxing betting tips 3: When it comes to wagering, always try to search for the value in the game. How is this? Very easy! Just always read up and analyze if the bets you make have decent paybacks. Turn away from placing bets that in return will give you small bets. Know the rule of thumb “it is better to risk just a bit of cash for a big return than betting a lot of money on wagers that have small returns, but the exception is if you are 100% sure that the player will be winning”

Boxing betting tips 4: Patience is a virtue, and even in boxing betting this applies. The way to think of it is to realize that you only need to win 50% of the time to make a decent payout. So, have and make fun.

May you have the best of luck!

Bet on Horses Using Exacta Betting

Solid amounts of money can be won using exacta betting when a person would bet on horses successfully. The good thing about the exacta bet is that it is much safer and less risky than the trifecta bet or superfecta bet. Also, the variations of this type of horse bet are also quite safer.

You might like this type of bet on horses since it’s easy and convenient for most people.

Straight Exacta Bet

This is a wager on the horse that will place first followed by the horse that will place second in a race. The horses must take the positions in which order you specified exactly in order for you to win.

Otherwise, you lose your wager completely. Exacta bets are safer than making trifecta or superfecta wagers because you only need to pick the top two horses in order compared to three or four horses in order. If you want to decrease your risk even more and improve your odds of winning, read on about exacta box betting and exacta wheel betting.

Here we have a sample procedure in order to help you further with the exatcta betting style.

Let’s have a $2 Straight Exacta Bet

2$ is the minimum for most exacta bets. If this is your first time to bet on horses with exacta betting then please take our advice and bet the minimum since you are only starting out. When you’ve gotten the hang of it and understands it perfectly then go ahead and increase the amount of your wager.

Sample bet: A $2 Straight Exacta bet on horses 12-4 simply means you are wagering $2 where horses 12 and 4 will finish first and second in that consecutive order, respectively.

Exacta Box Betting

This is a variant of the exacta bet where it involves picking the top two horses that will finish the race in ANY order. This is a good bet since exacta box betting improves the potential of you grabbing the rewards because the order in which the horses’ positions you picked is not important.

Sounds great right? Of course it has a slight catch, it just costs more than a Straight Exacta Bet. ach possible winning combination of your Exacta Box bet costs $1. So, if you have a 3 horse Exacta Box bet, there are 6 possible finishing combinations of 3 horses. Therefore, your Exacta Box bet will cost $1 per combination, for a total of $6. The $6 amount is usually the minimum wager required to make a Exaccta Box Bet.

Bet on Horses through Trifecta Wheel Betting

Trifecta wheel betting is an advanced type of bet on horses where it is in fact a whole lot less risky than the traditional trifecta betting.

But why don’t we go down and analyze what trifecta wheel betting really is and perhaps we can use it when we bet on horses.

Trifecta wheel bet involves keying in a horse OR horses into the race’s eventual first, second and third place positions. Because bettors here are allowed to select more than 3 horses to finish in the top three positions in the exact order you specify, unlike the straight trifecta bet, it is considered to be easier and less risky.

It is very crucial that a bettor understands the “keying” concept of the trifecta wheel in order to make a successful bet.

First, start with the first place position. Select a horse or set of horses that can place first in your wager. For example, if horses 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are in a horse race, you could choose any one of the six to place first OR some combination of the six to place first.

1st Horse Key Example:

Horses 2, 4 & 6

This means when the race is done and horses 2 or 4 or 6 places took the first place position then your first place trifecta wheel key is successful.

Second, pick your horse or horses that will place second and third, using the same procedure as the first key. You can pick any of the horses to fill your second and third keys.

2nd Horse key example: Horses 1,3

This means that once the race has ended and either 1 or 3 places second then your second place trifecta wheel key is successful.

3rd Horse key example: Horses 1,3 & 5

Again, once the race has ended and horses 1,3 or 5 took the third place then your third place trifecta wheel key has been successful.

There will of course be several winning combinations for you since you were allowed to choose more horses, as long as any of your horses took the winning positions then you should do good.

Trying out this type of bet is fun. If you want to practice with it without spending a dime then try sportsbook.com where you can learn it through trial with their dummy account for beginners. Once you have gotten the hand of it then you can create a new account and use real money for your betting activities.

Bet on Horses Breeders Cup

If there’s a racing event that makes horse bettors very excited then it’s none other than the Breeders Cup. This event represents the culmination of the American horse racing season, where the best up and coming horses are showcased for one last time. It is especially exciting to bet on the Breeders Cup during the doldrums of November while you wait for Thanksgiving football.

This is one of the best cups to bet on horses and bettors do prepare for this event my doing research and reviewing previous events.

The Challenge of Breeders Cup Yearly

This exciting event is very unlike the Spring Triple Crown events, which are single races, the Breeders Cup is actually a series of races that spans three days. This is a very attractive event since the purse for each race of the Breeders Cup is usually in excess of $1 million. Top race horses, breeders and trainers are definitely in it for the excitement and chance of winning. Each race is for a specific age and gender of horse, allowing horse racing’s youth a chance to shine among other top prospects. Horses that are successful at the Breeders Cup later go on to compete with the Big Boys (And Girls) in the late winter/early spring horse racing events, including Kentucky Derby Prep Races.

Anyone who wants to be involved and bet on horses during the Breeders Cup do research and ask themselves the following questions: Who bred them? (The horses, of course) Who trained them? Did the horse win in any race before? The Breeders Cup Challenge rewards savvy horse bettors, who are highly knowledgeable about the sport and keep themselves up to date with current events.

The Breeders Cup is also noted to attract people from all over the world. The interest of people in Breeders Cup is particularly strong in the Middle East, where countries like the United Arab Emirates have championship races of their own. Europeans and punters from United Kingdom, Ireland, and Scandinavia and beyond are known to bet on this series of races for excitement and the hope of making a few extra Euros for football betting season.

The hype about the this series has only grown over the past few years, even though the event itself isn’t as old as the venerable Kentucky Derby or any other Triple Crown racing event.

So if you too are interested in joining this cup then join a sportsbook online where they also have the Breeder Cup betting services.

Bet on Horses at the Preakness Stakes Betting Event

Perhaps you’re wondering what the events that are involved with horse betting are. Aside from the the regular horse races, we have Preakness stakes where people can bet on horses they choose.

Each May annually, particularly in Mid May, the top race horses, jockeys, trainers and racing enthusiasts in the nation gather at Pimlico race course in Maryland for the annual running of the Preakness Stakes. Preakness betting is included in sportsbooks online that offers people to bet on horses such as sportsbook.com. This very thrilling and adrenaline pumping race event for horses often don’t get the coverage that it deserves, despite being the all important second leg in the Triple Crown horse racing challenge, where the Kentucky Derby winner has to defend its title. The winner of this race gets an all expenses paid trip to the Belmont Stakes, not to mention taking a place in the long and detailed history of American horse racing.

That is why horse betting aficionados should pony up their bets at their favorite sportsbooks online and make this year’s Preakness Stakes one to remember and brag about, of course.

Rookies don’t have to be intimidated with this horse racing event since it’s just like any horse race events where people can bet on horses the way they know how. Wage types are the same. You can still bet on your favorite horse by using the bet types you are familiar with. One of the most popular bets is taking the Kentucky Derby Champion to win again at the Preakness. In this case, you’d be placing a “Win” bet, which pays if your horse is the outright first place finisher of the Preakness race.

The following are popular bets used in the Preakness betting event such as the basic straight trifecta or to bet on horses who will take the top three places and the superfecta bet where a bettor only needs to pick the top four horses in the correct finishing order.

Superfecta may be a bit complicated than the trifecta bet but it is considered to be cheaper. There are “ten cent” superfecta wheel bets and they are very popular among horse bettors. This is their way to hedge out their bets and minimize risks, while at the same time maximizing their payout potential.

Much like the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico is mainly a big party, with celebrities, VIPs, and horse owners crowded around the infield.
